The Houston is a slightly overstable workhorse midrange from Lone Star. It flies point and shoot straight for most of its flight, holds against moderate wind, and closes with a clean fade that keeps circles honest. Nothing about it is extreme, which is the compliment: this is the do everything mid you can throw backhand, forehand, hard, or soft. Players at any level can put it in the bag and stop thinking about the slot.
