The Berg does one thing no other putter really does: it stops. With a thumb groove in the rim and almost no glide, it flies exactly as far as you throw it and then drops, holding the angle it left on with zero drama. That makes it deadly for controlled upshots, short wooded holes, and windy days when glidey discs turn into gambles. The feel is strange at first, then addictive, and it has built a devoted following because of it.
