The Innova Eagle is a reliable overstable fairway driver that has been a staple in bags for decades. This particular run is the Gregg Barsby Tour Series edition, featuring a bold gold stamp celebrating his 2018 World Championship title. Pressed in Swirly Star plastic at 175g, this is a meaty, wind-ready disc right out of the bag.
Swirly Star is a slightly soft, opaque premium plastic with great grip in all conditions and strong long-term durability. The swirly color pattern means no two discs look exactly alike, and this one came out a vivid purple with blue swirl — a sharp canvas for the gold Barsby stamp.
Speed 7 / Glide 4 / Turn -1 / Fade 3. The Eagle flies with a consistent, trustworthy fade that makes it a go-to for dependable hyzer lines and fade-finishing approach shots. At 175g it also punches into a headwind without drifting off line, holding its angle when lighter discs would get pushed around.
The Gregg Barsby Tour Series stamp features a dramatic winged eagle crest with "2018 World Champion" called out front and center. The gold foil reads cleanly against the purple swirl, making this one of the sharper-looking Eagles out there.
Newer players will appreciate the Eagle's predictable fade and forgiving speed, while players who work the forehand or throw into headwinds will find the 175g Swirly Star run holds up exactly when they need it to.
