Gateway Vintage Training Wizard 195g Stamp Tan – 295g

Older Gateway Training Wizard featuring the original muscle Wizard training stamp. Light tan / natural colored plastic with a multicolor rainbow stamp and an actual measured weight of 295.2g. Lightly used and in very nice shape for an older Training Wizard. One especially unusual detail on this example is the weight marking. The original front stamp reads 195 grams, while the disc actually weighs 295.2g on a digital scale. The actual weight is consistent with Gateway's heavyweight Training Wizards, which were produced well above normal PDGA legal weights. Plastic & Feel This is Gateway's heavyweight Training Wizard construction, designed specifically as a resistance and form-training version of the standard Wizard. The extra weight exaggerates the pendulum motion of a putting stroke and makes it easier to feel timing and momentum during practice. At approximately 295g, this is near the upper end of the normal Training Wizard weight range. Flight Profile 2 / 3 / 0 / 2 The Training Wizard uses the familiar Wizard putter shape but at dramatically increased weight. It is intended as a training tool rather than a normal golf disc. The extra mass creates a much different feel and flight than a standard 170–175g Wizard. Ideal For Putting form drills, warmups, tempo training, Gateway collectors, Wizard collectors and unusual disc golf memorabilia. Because of its extreme weight, this Training Wizard is not PDGA legal for sanctioned tournament play . Stamp & Run Notes This disc features Gateway's older Training Wizard artwork showing a muscular Wizard holding a weight plate, surrounded by the phrases “Develops Core Strength” and “Promotes Proper Technique.” This artwork appears on archived Training Wizards from the original era of the heavyweight model. Training Wizards were already being discussed publicly by players in June 2016, and archived retailer imagery from the following period shows this same muscle Wizard stamp. The original stamp reads 195 grams , but the actual disc weighs 295.2g . That discrepancy is being left exactly as produced rather than altered or covered. Light tan / natural plastic with a multicolor rainbow stamp. Lightly used with normal cosmetic wear as shown. Exact disc pictured is the disc you will receive.
