The Surge is a stable-to-overstable distance driver offering excellent glide, a manageable amount of high-speed turn, and a reliable finishing fade. Its speed 11 rim provides a comfortable feel while still delivering impressive distance potential. With enough power, the Surge produces long, controlled flights before finishing with a dependable fade.
Great for controlled distance drives, long hyzers, flex shots, and reliable forehand throws. Its combination of glide and stability makes it particularly useful for intermediate and advanced players looking for distance without sacrificing control. The dependable finish also makes it a strong option for moderate headwinds.
Released as part of Discraft's 2022 Tour Series lineup, this Swirl ESP Surge was Chandler Fry's signature Tour Series disc. The release featured retro-inspired stamp artwork and some of Discraft's most colorful ESP swirl patterns.
This particular example features a Ghost Stamp, an intentionally subtle foil treatment that makes the artwork nearly disappear into the plastic. The vivid orange and neon-yellow swirls combined with the nearly invisible stamp give this disc a distinctive appearance compared to traditional foil-stamped versions.
