HDX

The HDX was Wham-O's attempt at a distance frisbee in the eighties, shaped to slip through the air better than the company's catch models. By modern standards it is still a lid: it needs a smooth, flat release, rewards finesse over power, and drifts off line when overthrown. In its day it represented the far edge of how far a frisbee could fly. Now it is a collectible that vintage players pull out for long, floaty demonstration throws.
