The Spike is one of Latitude 64's oldest utility discs, an approach putter that trades nearly all glide for certainty. Throw it hard at the basket and it drives forward briefly, then breaks left with a heavy fade and sits down. That makes it excellent for headwind upshots, forehand approaches, and shots over trouble where a disc that carries too far becomes a lost stroke. It has been doing that one job faithfully since 2007.
