This entry marks the XD's place in history: released in 1984, it was one of the first discs made for the space between putter and driver, back when the idea of a midrange barely existed. The flight is gentle and slightly understable, with easy glide and a soft landing that suits touch shots and short placement drives. Thrown today it feels like a smooth driving putter, and that is exactly what early players used it for.
