The MD1 sits at the neutral end of Discmania's MD midrange series, and the modern version is a genuine point and shoot disc. It carries surprising glide for a mid, holds dead straight at controlled power, and finishes with almost nothing left or right. That is ideal for tunnel shots and for players who want the landing spot to match the aiming spot. It gives up some wind resistance, which is what the higher MD numbers are for.
